Night Out Against Crime Tuesday October 15th from 6 to 8pm.

We would like to invite all of our neighbors to join us at the annual Night Out Against Crime block party, hosted by Tim & Beth McConnell and sponsored by the Faubourg Avart Neighborhood Association (FANA), in the 1000 block of Soniat Street!

Please come out and meet your neighbors at this fun, family event!

In addition to fabulous homemade dishes provided by our hosts and neighbors, we will have food and beverages donated by many of our neighborhood restaurants and bars at this FREE event, including the Wine Seller, Creole Creamery, Guy’s Po-Boy’s, Henry’s Uptown Bar, La Crepe Nanou and many more!

Halloween on Soniat Thursday October 31st from 5:30 to 7:30pm.

We want to welcome our neighborhood families and friends back for a fun evening of trick-or-treating on Soniat Street! Last year was a HUGE success, and we are hoping even more neighbors will participate this year by turning on their porch lights and handing out candy!

And don’t forget the annual Halloween house-decorating contest! The categories are: Wickedly Elegant, Spooktacular Lights and Ghastly Creatures. Judging will take place on Sunday, Oct. 27, and the winners will receive gift cards to some of our great FANA businesses!

The official trick-or-treating route and decoration judging is on Soniat between Prytania and Magazine, but everyone throughout Faubourg Avart is welcome join in the fun!
